Lordswood Football Club can confirm that Richard Dimmock has resigned from his position as first team manager with immediate effect.
Dimmock and his Assistant, Mike Jones and coach Jason Long joined the club just after Christmas 2021 with the club languishing at the foot of the table and at risk of relegation. Supporters will remember the drama of the last game of the season that saw us draw at home to Holmesdale thanks to a last minute penalty and with results going the right way in the Essex League we were saved from relegation via Points Per Game (PPG).
In total Dimmock oversaw 39 league games, winning 11, drawing 6 and losing 22.
The club would like to place on record its thanks to Richard, Mike and Jason for all their hard work and efforts during their time in charge.
We will now be considering our options regarding the appointment of a new manager. There will be no further comment at this time.
